back story ; as a child, miley was the happiest girl in the world. she loved everything any little girl would love; princesses, baby animals, butterflies, dolls and of course, life. but that all changed on miley's eleventh birthday. her parents, her sister bobbi and herself were going on a holiday from Santa Barbera to L.A. unfortunately, miley's father had a bad temper and got fired up easily, so as they were getting in a traffic jam for what seemed like the hundredth time that day, miley's dad got very annoyed. and just as the light went green, everyone was rushing to get through - including miley's family. but as the light turned red, miley's father didn't stop - he revved up the engine and sped through.. or at least attempted to. an hour later everyone in that car apart from miley was announced dead.
miley was sent to live with her abusive great aunt. she sent her to school, but life was no better there. she was bullied because she had no family, hideous clothes, head lice and such. but at a young age of fifteen, she moved out into her own apartment to fend for herself. she continued to go to her local high school, but left a year later. in that time she had illegally bought drugs and alcohol, stolen from places like walmart and target, and slept with over 15 different people.
at age 17 she had a 'serious' relationship with a guy she thought she loved. he treated her to flowers, dinners, beer, money and of course, sex. when she declared she wanted to be a better person and stop doing illegal things (such as drinking the alcohol and having sex) he no longer wanted anything to do with her. after that, miley was more messed up than ever. she went back to her old ways - until she was asked to go onto an MTV reality show with fourteen others around her age. and of course she agreed - i mean, who wouldnt want to be on MTV and meet 'new' people?

how do they feel about their ex / rival being here ; miley is un-sure of what she thinks yet. she is half excited about this situation, thinking that she may be able to get her ex / rival back for what they did to her all that time ago, but in another way, she was hoping that she would get away from the bad stuff - which was everything in her life.
